Where did the Category:1980 births come from? There is no source for his year of birth, so I am removing it. Burntsauce 18:28, 19 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of the Cliff Lee almost trade[edit]

What do we think? It seems like it was legit, not just a rumor. There's a bit in the Mariano Rivera article about how he was nearly traded in 1995. If Montero lives up to expectations, this could be similar. If he fails to live up to them, we could be cursing why we didn't get Lee. I'm inclined to say it's notable but for a non-trade I seek the opinions of others before adding it. --Muboshgu (talk) 00:57, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Not quite. The Yankees have reportedly agreed to trade Montero. We haven't heard any confirmation from the Yankees that this is true. If it turns out that it is, all players involved still need to pass physical examinations before they will be traded.
