Jerry Springer: The Opera[edit]

Does anyone have any sources relating to how Jerry Springer reacted to the musical 'Jerry Springer: The Opera'? I don't have any information on this but perhaps someone has read his autobiography, or seen some footage of an interview or something. I feel it warrants being included either on this page or the musical's own page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.86.50.220 (talk) 20:39, 13 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Statutory Rapist[edit]

Everything I've ever heard on the subject of the prostitute he basically defrauded is that she was 15 years old, Does anyone know if that's true? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.18.227.100 (talk) 21:28, 24 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Jerry Springer Birthplace[edit]

This article states that he was born in Highgate tube station. The article about East Finchley states that he was born in East Finchley tube station. 86.147.112.88 (talk) 00:13, 7 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Unlikely. Highgate is actually underground, and thus was used as an air raid shelter. East Finchley is not underground, and so wasn't. Nick Cooper (talk) 16:06, 28 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The claim although sourced is rather sketchy considering that bombing of Great Britain was over by the time of his birth. StrongALPHA (talk) 10:52, 2 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

English[edit]

He was born in England to German parents who had escaped Germany, and he left soon after. How does this make him "English"? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 123.243.186.206 (talk) 04:33, 20 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

He was born in England. And he could be referenced as British as well. I'd say he became a naturalized citizen of the United States when he was young. - Kiraroshi1976 (talk) 05:49, 20 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
He is neither English nor British. Being born in London doesn’t make someone British. Find evidence that he has even referred to himself as British or English. 120.22.9.241 (talk) 08:21, 27 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
He could have claimed British citizenship, as he certainly met the criteria for it at the time. Nick Cooper (talk) 16:10, 28 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Former soldier?[edit]

The current version of this page says he was a former soldier, with no source. I scanned through most of the on-line sources for the article, but found no evidence for that. A Google search only finds one source for this claim: Uncyclopedia, the Wikipedia satire

This assertion seems to have been first introduced in [1]. It was rightly removed in [2], but this edit was immediately identified as vandalism and reverted in [3].

Until someone can provide a decent source for the claim, I propose it be removed.

Death[edit]

Well this news is very sad. I watched his show as a kid with my dad sometimes and he was one of my dad's favorite people to watch.Chicagosports2004 (talk) 14:39, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Could you please add this obituary from Hollywood Reporter? It is more extensive than the one from TMZ.

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Where do you want to add it? Lightoil (talk) 02:19, 28 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

STOP FUCKING PROTECTING PAGES EVERY SINGLE TIME SOMEBODY DIES! ITS FUCKING RIDICULOUS!! PEOPLE MAY HAVE THINGS TO ADD!! WIKI IS FUCKING SHIT THESE DAYS!! 95.144.64.139 (talk) 15:17, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

When a celebrity dies they're often in the news a lot more than when they were alive, which often prompts would-be trolls to capitalize on the shock factor of vandalizing the page of somebody whose dead body is still warm. Semi-protected status is warranted. JBrahms (talk) 15:27, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
