Former Clerks[edit]

The former clerks section has been rapidly expanded recently, perhaps too much. Most judges' pages do not list former clerks at all. Some of Judge Smith's clerks are clearly notable, such as those who have gone on to government service (Eid, Ho), those who merit their own Wikipedia page (Berliner, Steinberg, Zywicki), and maybe the other professors. But I don't think it's particularly notable that many of his former clerks have gone on to become partners at law firms, since that is true of most appellate law clerks eventually. Certainly founding your own law firm would be relevant, but maybe all of the "regular" law firm partners should be removed. --Libertylaw (talk) 14:53, 10 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Agree, and the clerks who have gone on to be law school professors, but who have not had notable careers thus far should be removed also. 69.217.205.12 (talk) 09:13, 7 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
