Numerous living Architect's articles are orphans. I may have to just take this challenge on.

This article does have matter of fact tone and neutral point of view along with reliable and verifiable sources as the Los Angeles Times, numerous books, magazines, a notable museum and a gallery. The facts and references substantiate notability and is not meant to read as an advertisement. Some recent editing attempted to address this issue and deleting this tag.

This person's work (or works) has been a substantial part of a significant exhibition, has won significant critical attention, and is represented within several notable galleries / museums. That the article is an orphan, and therefore less likely to be found by interested readers, is indisputable. The orphan tag is not any kind of reflection on the article content and it has nothing to do with the fact that the article is a BLP (nor is it a claim that there is a BLP violation). It a flag to show editors that it would be helpful to add links to the article from other Wikipedia articles, and the orphan tag is placed on articles about all kinds of subjects. Removing such a tag without first checking to see if it still applies would not really make sense. In addition, since the orphan tag was placed by an automated bot, if the tag is removed while the article is still an orphan I'm guessing the bot will replace it. As for the advert tag, it is always a good idea for an article creator to allow an uninvolved editor to remove such tags. Removing it simply because there is no talk page discussion about it isn't helpful - again, these tags are meant to act as a flag for other editors to find articles that might need revision. Remember that there is no deadline here and no reason to remove a tag after only a few days unless the issues have been addressed in the meantime. --bonadea contributions talk 20:12, 2 August 2015 (UTC)

Notability General notability guideline: If a topic has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject, it is presumed to be suitable for a stand-alone article or list. This article meets that criteria. The Los Angeles Times, Center of Contemporary Architecture in Moscow, Dwell Magazine, galleries and museums are significant independent sources. The editorial by Domus Magazine, a fine and prestigious architecture publication, clearly makes the argument for this architects notability. (See reference #6)
