Penis Size

The following is somewhat misleading, not to say precious: He is known to fans of the field for the size of his penis, although it is not particularly outsized in the way that John C. Holmes's was.

Holmes may have had a bigger penis than Stryker does (I don't know their measurements, or care) but I know enough about Stryker to know that, when compared to most Western men, he most definitely has a very large penis. The current wording suggests it is slightly larger than average. It is a LOT larger than average. Most men who worry about such matters would definitely be envious of him. Anyway, this is an article about Jeff Stryker, not anybody else including John Holmes. Comparisons are odious and irrelevant.

I've removed the offending words: "although it is not particularly outsized in the way that John C. Holmes's was". JackofOz 01:18, 13 November 2005 (UTC)

What the hell does "outsized" mean, anyway? Isn't that when you send some of your company's work to be performed in another country?
Er, no. That's "outsourced". -- JackofOz 14:30, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
Perhaps we should say something to the effect that while Stryker has a large penis by almost any standard, the adult video industry has expanded to the point that a penis like his isn't especially unusual at this point in time. RogerInPDXRogerInPDX (talk) 02:32, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
I don't think that's a workable solution. I and others who are not very familiar with the porn video industry would contend that without a reliable source that statement constitutes original research. __meco (talk) 07:57, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
Please, my (Peyton/Stryker) penis is 9 1/2 inches in Circumference <ref= http://www.mathgoodies.com/lessons/vol2/circumference.html>. That's about the same size as a beer can, in length 10 to 10 1/2 inches. If that is not oversized, outsized or just plain huge I dont know what is. J.S.
Although I personally find it believable both that you who write the above is Charles Peyton and that the description of your penis is accurate, the problem with including this in the article lies with Wikipedia's guidelines for verifiability. Obviously, this is a somewhat staggering claim, and for such claims we need reliable references from third-party publications as outlined on the policy pages which I have provided links for. __meco (talk) 07:55, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

Who Is Vince?

The final paragraph makes a reference to "Vince" who is not mentioned anywhere else in the article. This should be expanded upon or deleted. —Preceding unsigned comment added by MattButts (talkcontribs) 11:49, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

HIV status

I'm wondering why See also:List of HIV-positive individuals appears at the bottom of Jeff Stryker's bio. He's not on that list, or HIV-positive for that matter, as far as I am aware. Gilliamjf 22:44, 24 January 2006 (UTC)

Removed. People have, in the past, been rather free with that list. We're starting to clean it up and require citations] from henseforth.

Jeff Stryker is not HIV positive nor has AIDS. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 140.239.23.57 (talk) 23:45, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

I find it strange to have HIV status newly listed as well? If that is allowed to stay I request the phraze Stereotype be added. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 140.239.23.57 (talk) 00:25, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

I don't see any references to HIV status in the current article. __meco (talk) 07:58, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

Jeff Stryker son?

  • I know Jeff Stryker has a son named Joseph Peyton (15) who was stabbed by 7 students at his high school, I found this one a gay site and I'm sure a simply google would show something about this.
  • It is incorrect that Jeff Stryker is an Armenian. His family were descended from Europeans and had no Armenian blood. There were racial clashes at Jeff Stryker's son's school between Mexicans and Armenians. The son of Stryker was attacked in a racial incident but it had nothing to do with Mexicans versus Armenians.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 164.58.84.42 (talkcontribs)

Correct, it was a gang of latinos and 2 black oppertunists whom attacked him because he was white and it was 3rd day freshman year. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 140.239.23.57 (talk) 23:47, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

Reportedly Jeff Stryker's son has enlisted and will be serving in the Military active duty to fight for our country, Joseph is 18 years old <Charles Peyton> —Preceding unsigned comment added by 140.239.23.57 (talk) 01:25, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

Obviously, reportedly without information on who is doing the "reporting" is not good enough. Nor do I think this information is notable. __meco (talk) 08:00, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

I find it very noteable that Jeff Stryker's son has chosen to fight for his country and is now in active duty with the military for the next 4 years serving the USA. Also I do believe Jeff Stryker now has another son as well. Also noteworthy.--Tessie xo (talk) 23:41, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

Dildo image

I added an image of the famous dildo cast of Stryker's penis. I would argue its notoriety merits its inclusion. __meco 22:02, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

Now that this un-free image has been deleted I have requested that someone provide this article with a free image of this product (as well as a photo of Jeff Stryker). A free image would also have the advantage of the possibility of being used freely also in other relevant articles and across projects. __meco 08:41, 24 June 2007 (UTC)

I have no problem with the realistic being shown, in fact please take a image from my site and re-submit it. Jeff Stryker —Preceding unsigned comment added by 140.239.23.57 (talk) 00:07, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

I think you would have to do the uploading if you could overcome the technical obstacles. You should preferrably use one of the two Wikipedia accounts registered in your name for doing so. And you should also be prepared for some discussion over copyright and licencing. I'll keep an eye out for this though and see if my assistance can be helpful. __meco (talk) 08:05, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

Category:Owners of famous penises

Could we create this or something akin? We'd have Stryker, Long Dong Silver, John Holmes, Sean Michaels, Ron Jeremy, Kevin Dean, Bam Huge, Ty Fox, Adam Hart and probably more, at least some of these apparently have had casts mad of their penises to be used as dildos[1]. __meco 22:14, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

I also nominate Mandingo, Jack Napier, Lexington Steele, and Mr. Marcus. Outside the pornography business, I understand that Patrick Stewart (best known as Captain Picard) and the late Milton Berle are/were notoriously well equipped. Dick Kimball (talk) 20:46, 23 November 2009 (UTC)

Problem with penis size information

The information in this article is used as criterion for inclusion in the list at Human penis size#Men famous for their large penis as well as Category:Men with unusually large penis. Now, more than 50 names have been included, and there have been objections raised strong enough that both the list and the category are currently targeted for deletion. Placing this posting uniformly on the talk pages of the articles concerned, I would firstly encourage editors to make sure reliable sourcing is provided to support the claims regarding penis size. Secondly, editors might wish to involve themselves in the discussions taking place at Talk:Human penis size and Wikipedia:Categories for discussion. __meco 14:08, 29 July 2007 (UTC)

Current photo

Although this photograph has been uploaded and freely licenced by Peyton himself, I would like to comment that I find it to be of substandard quality and that it really should be replaced. __meco (talk) 21:55, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

I would like to, I had to reduce the size of the image (the res) for it to be accepted. I will try again. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 140.239.23.57 (talk) 00:10, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
I will point out that my grievance with the existing photo is its crude manipulation (i.e. the "blacked-out" crotch area). An image would not have to be censored for it to be acceptable for Wikipedia, this is explicitly discussed at WP:NOTCENSORED and widely adhered to. For an article about a porn actor I don't think many editors would object to an image showing the genitals. Obviously, if the censoring is done to protect commercial interests that is another issue and understandable. __meco (talk) 08:31, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
Hey, porn actors wear clothes. As a matter of fact most porn starts out with the person dressed! As a fan I know that Stryker has been called the 'cary grant' of porn - cary grant wore clothes and so does jeff stryker. I say leave the penis blacked out & lets focus on jeff, this isnt an article on jeff's penis.. it's about jeff as a whole person! --Tessie xo (talk) 23:02, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
You are obviously entitled to your opinion, although you seem to consider it equal to a superior argument as a matter of course. I think this article's scope is primarily about Jeff Stryker as a porn actor, then also about him as a private person (Charles Peyton). But it is also about his penis, the bodily attribute that gave him an opportunity for his career in the porn industry in the first place. If we can have a picture of him wearing clothes, that's all fine, however, it is certainly appropriate to include a photo of him naked, and as he himself has decided to upload such a photo I figured I'd voice my critical opinion that this particular photo, the way it has been manipulated to make it not explicit, gives an amateurish impression, and also the aesthetics suffers on account of this. At least to me it does. __meco (talk) 17:54, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
I really dont care for your thoughts on my opinions dear, so I'll just skip over that part and get to my point about the photo. I like the photo, I think it's very appropriate.
Secondly, one could just as easily argue that if we were to subscribe to your idea that Jeff should be shown nude with his penis exposed because he has a career in porn, that we should have a picture of Jeff in action & using his penis to create porn. Personally I dont feel that wikipedia needs to follow your ideal down this road. Jeff's "likeness" is readily available to purchase via the internet for those who would like to see the whole package & I do believe he himself sells them on his website.
I also dont know where you get the information that Jeff is naked in the blacked out photo - he has a black mark over his crotch area so how can you assume he's naked and say that he's "uploaded such a photo"? You know what they say about assuming. I think Jeff's work speaks for itself, and its hardly amaturish & very aesthetically pleasing. Especially to this woman.--Tessie xo (talk) 23:02, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

Name

COuld we standardize if he's called "Peyton", Mr. Peyton", or "Stryker"? He's mentioned as all throughout the article...some standardization??? 38.109.88.194 (talk) 23:45, 24 January 2010 (UTC)

I don't think the honorific Mr. is in accordance with WP:MOS. __meco (talk) 09:18, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
Perhaps that's true. My issue was that he's referred to as "Peyton" and "Stryker" both in this article. I think using "Stryker" would be most appropriate. Consensus? 38.109.88.194 (talk) 03:21, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
I don't oppose it. __meco (talk) 10:06, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
Done. 38.109.88.196 (talk) 04:37, 23 February 2010 (UTC)

Citations Needed

This article has a number of citations needed. Some have been here for a while. I'm going to begin removing them in the next week or so, so if you've got any reliable resources, now's the time to add them! 38.109.88.196 (talk) 04:38, 23 February 2010 (UTC)

For example, see my comments at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Meco#Jeff_Stryker. 38.109.88.196 (talk) 23:59, 23 February 2010 (UTC)
You may find the following specific searches useful.

Find sources: GNews · GBooks · AVN · XBIZ · Gay Porn Times · IAFD · MouSearch. Ash (talk) 00:13, 24 February 2010 (UTC)

Truthfully, I'm not interested in doing an incredible amount of research. These citations have been missing for a long time now, some as long as years. The people who have included them should have included references, so if they want the info to remain, they should include the sources. Otherwise, it can be re-inserted at a later time. I'll give it a week or so, though, to be fair... :o) 38.109.88.196 (talk) 02:29, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
As Charles Peyton/Jeff Stryker has previously kept a keen eye on this article (and may also have been involved in adding some of the information that is now being focused on), perhaps making sure he gets a heads-up will effect some required references to turn up? __meco (talk) 08:07, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
I see a user named JeffStryker has made some edits to this article in the past but am not aware of any way of confirming this is actually Stryker himself...and if it were, POV and COI issues would come into play. I do indeed hope he sees this page and can provide reliable sources before the information is removed. If reliable sources are included -by any user- there won't be any issue. 38.109.88.196 (talk) 19:19, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
See the two banners at the top of this page. __meco (talk) 19:27, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
Ah, missed that. Thanks for pointing that out. I'm going to leave that user a message, but A) I don't how anybody can truly know that that user is Stryker himself (I could probably create the username OPrahWinf, but it doesn't make me her), and B) that user hasn't contrib'ed anything since 2007. We'll see how it goes. T^hanks again for pointing it out to me. :o) 38.109.88.196 (talk) 06:22, 25 February 2010 (UTC)

Some examples:

  • "Stryker has two sons." (uncited)
  • "Jeff was awarded custody of his oldest son, Joseph Peyton, after a lengthy custody battle which ended when the birth mother's parental rights were terminated." (uncited)
  • "In September 2004, his son, then 14 years old, was the victim of a severe beating and stabbing when he was surrounded by nine Latino gang members at Ulysses S. Grant High School in Van Nuys, California." (In the reference you have provided, the school only confirms an attack by TWO other students, not NINE, does not confirm the attack was by "gang members", does not confirm the attack was racially motivated. The article only says that a boy whose father is named Charles Peyton believes these things, not that this is what actually happened...not good enough for inclusion in Wikipedia. And certainly not appropriate for this article, anyhow.)
  • "Jeff was interviewed by TV reporters and stated that he believed that the attack was racially motivated. Both Jeff and his son were interviewed by NBC news in Los Angeles about the incident" (unreferenced) Unfortunately, many original links no longer exist, and webarchived articles contains no mention that the Charles Peyton quoted is actually Jeff Stryker, nor does it provide any TV interview. So, unless a reliable source can be provided for these items (and others), the paragraph will either need some serious revision or be eliminated altogether. 38.109.88.196 (talk) 02:58, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
It's highly civil that you have taken the time to list out the issues on this talk page. I back immediate removal of all the long-term un-cited entries you mention as non-controversial BLP problems as they are not inherently verifiable (for example a film credit would be inherently verifiable as one need only look it up using the link provided to IAFD but the name of his son would need something like a newspaper check and there is no obvious link on the page to give you that information). Ash (talk) 06:36, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
I also support immediate removal of all text which infringes on WP:BLP. __meco (talk) 07:25, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
Thanks, Ash and meco, I'm doing my best here. Not the most efficient editor, I'm afraid, but I know the basics pretty well. I'm going to give this a few more days and then simply remove all info that is uncited. :o) 38.109.88.196 (talk) 18:07, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
A note about SPS Please note that SPS may not apply in the case of authors writing about themselves (or being interviewed by another party about themselves), in this scenario SELFPUB applies which in this case may mean that http://www.jeffstryker.info is a valid link to include in the article about Stryker. Ash (talk) 14:34, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
Please see my reply http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk%3AAsh&action=historysubmit&diff=347909697&oldid=347897282 . Also, if we could keep this topic on the discussion page of that article, that would be great. Thanks. 38.109.88.196 (talk) 14:38, 5 March 2010 (UTC)

    Reliable source for penis size

We have his penis size related as a matter of fact with an article at Everything2.com as reference. Having looked at it it doesn't appear very reliable to me. __meco (talk) 00:18, 28 February 2010 (UTC)

I'm not sure that penis size is essential for these articles. However Stryker's penis is newsworthy as it is well known to be used as a model for a popularly sold dildo - see in-print-hommes-intl-goes-erotic. I could find no source on AVN, however I suspect this information is available if only as marketing information for the dildo. Ash (talk) 06:05, 28 February 2010 (UTC)
I'll remove the information and the source, the latter being too unreliable. __meco (talk) 11:59, 28 February 2010 (UTC)

As it's been mentioned, there's a VERY popular dildo sold in just about every sex shop that exists that is an exact mould of his penis. Surely it'd be easy to find the exact dimensions somewhere, such as an online store that sells them? Would just like to say that he's an amazingly close to perfect man. I can't speak for his personality, but his body, in his heyday ofcourse, was absolutely perfect. --Lyco499 (talk) 05:17, 21 August 2011 (UTC)

Even though it's said to be a perfect mold it could easily have been enlarged, so measuring it really isn't something we should be doing in the pursuit of establishing Stryker's actual penis size. __meco (talk) 09:36, 3 January 2012 (UTC)

    Where are the archives?

Edits to this page going back to November 2005 have been archived off somewhere, but we're told there are no archives. So where the hell are they? -- Jack of Oz [your turn] 12:32, 18 August 2011 (UTC)
