Hi @LouisAlain: First thanks for your work translating these paleography-related articles. I tried a change to this one, putting "nouvelle paléographie" in French, and adding the English in (). What do you think? I was also wondering if "maître d'œuvre" might in this case translate closer to "lead scholar", but I'm not familiar with the nature of the project, so I wanted to check with you. By the way, you are overly modest with your "low skills" self-assessment! I think your translations "dans le faux sens" (peut-on dire cela?) are quite well done, far better than the majority of non-maternally anglophone editors on en.wp, many of whom have self-confidence in much greater abundance than they have skill. Hi Eric and thank you for your input. Actually I could have left the "Nouvelle paléographie" and then translated as you did, just I'm never sure what the usages are on en.wiki. Re Maître d'oeuvre, it doesn't specifically refer to any scholarly related project, the term is used to designate the person responsible for some sort of global enterprise; see Maîtrise d'œuvre. I think the origin of the term comes from architecture but has evolved to refer to any big project now. One could write about an excavation site directed by a "maître d'oeuvre" but indeed in this case the maître d'oeuvre must have some sort of expertise in this field. "Lead scholar" sounds ok yet I'm a bit hesitant; I leave it to you though, if it sounds ok to you then it is ok (and it's not that important anyway).
