Nationality?[edit]

Froissart is described here as "a medieval French author", but the article says he was from Valenciennes and in the service of Philippa of Hainaut and Joanna of Brabant. None of this seems to make him French. He *spoke* French, but that doesn't make him French either. Does "French author" just mean "author of books in French"? --Andreas Philopater (talk) 07:56, 24 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Gallery[edit]

The gallery consists entirely of miniatures from later illuminated editions of the Chronicles, which don't have much direct relation to Froissart himself. Many of the images already appear on the Chronicles article. I'm removing the section. Jfmantis (talk) 20:33, 25 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sir John?[edit]

I've seen him referred to as not just John Froissart, but Sir John Froissart. Is this title documented anywhere? -- Jack of Oz [pleasantries] 06:01, 26 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Interesting, wherefrom have you seen him has “Sir John Froissart”? 2A00:23C7:2B13:9001:B581:F6B6:2663:526B (talk) 03:23, 24 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
