These are an international programme under which Commonwealth governments offer scholarships and fellowships to citizens of other Commonwealth countries. It is therefore unlikely that an Australian citizen would be awarded one to study within his own country. It is in anyway somewhat unlikely that a doctorate would be so funded / Hence the claim being tagged as 'dubious' inline. Plutonium27 (talk) 20:39, 29 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

In 1984 in Australia, all government funded scholarships for postgraduate education went by the title of Commonwealth Scholarships. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.2.88.166 (talk) 12:46, 20 October 2013 (UTC) Further clarification, the national government in Australia is know as the Commonwealth government. University degrees studied/awarded[edit]

From the text as of 29/09/13: Originally opting for a BSc degree in Biochemistry, he changed to a BSc degree in Psychology and transferred to the University of Wollongong from Sydney to get a BA Psych. From there, he took on History and Philosophy of science and eventually got an honours degree in the topic. This is confusing. So did he get a BA Psych and then also an "honours degree" in History and Philosophy of science OR is the text telling us he transferred to Wollongong from Sydney intending to get a BA Psych but changed courses and instead got the History/Philosophy "honours degree"? Likewise, from the context of the line and the way its written, are we to infer he transferred from the University of Sydney? Even though the "transfer" could easily just have been a transfer of himself, moving digs from Sydney, or from another unnamed institution.

Such ambiguities can always be claimed to be the entirely accidental results of clumsy writing. Yet given the meticulous attention paid to details elsewhere on the page it would seem odd that such have been allowed to remain.... Plutonium27 (talk) 21:21, 29 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
