Gravestone[edit]

A question in relation to the following quote:

Ruse's gravestone, which he carved himself, reads: "Sacred to the memory of James Ruse who departed this life sep 5 in the year of Houre Lord 1837..."

This is a pradox. How could he have carved the gravestone when he would have had to have been dead to know (or not know) the date that he died? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jspiga (talkcontribs) 02:56, 26 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

He carved his gravestone before he died, BUT NOT the dates, they were added later!Pruse 05:25, 19 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Online source for expansion/improvement[edit]

There is a fuller online source available at [1], which would be useful for improving the article. DuncanHill (talk) 05:06, 26 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

DNA project own section[edit]

If the DNA project remains in this article, I suggest it have its own short section or at least be presented in a more encyclopedic manner. Ruse/Kiss DNA Project: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=708372276289807&id=519919595135077 For example, who is in charge of the DNA project? Why is it being conducted? How is it being conducted?Kerdooskis (talk) 15:17, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
