BLP Vandalism[edit]

_ _ The accompanying article stub stood for 20 days with a very serious BLP violation. In light of that, it should be made crystal clear that this was reckless and utterly unfounded vandalism. The subject of the page published his first scholarly paper by 1957, so he was at least 50, and probably 70 or older, on 7 July 2008. Confusing him with a 17-year-old (as he was described immediately following the 1st three words of the third line of the article cited by the WP editor; that number is exceedingly visible, since that third line is the first of the 2nd paragraph, and thus separated from the preceding lines by a blank line) can occur only by intention, or extreme neglect of both common sense and due diligence.
_ _ My point is this: the article is now correct, and its correctness is very easy to verify. The false information is gone from the formal article, and for anyone who can find its traces, it is very simple to satisfy yourself that it was false.
