Major page changes[edit]

I think that at present, the article is potentially better off without most of the information beyond the first two paragraphs, as they are about the history of Jamestowne in a general sense, not about James City specifically. If we do want to keep them, the writing and information needs to be drastically improved. The trades section could have potential, if it focuses on the economic activity of this specific region, but the statement at the end is misleading in that it wrongly implies that the enslavement of Africans in the area only began after Bacon's Rebellion. Perhaps the articles for the other subdivisions of the Virginia colony that were created in this time could serve as models for the improvement of this one, as they seem to be better written.
