Untitled[edit]

Hi, I made minor edits: Added a link to the new entry on James Brown Clay, and ID'd him as a Congressman from Kentucky; he was not a Senator from Louisiana. JamestownArarat 03:29, 22 August 2006 (UTC) JamestownArarat[reply]

more work needed[edit]

Because of his common name, searching census records to find how many slaves he owned is very difficult, and I can't even find his wife's death date, nor the date of their marriage. I hope someone with access to Louisiana sources can fill in the gaps.Jweaver28 (talk) 01:51, 4 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
