Added a photo of him at the Christmas town scene in A Nightmare Before Christmas --SkinnerIJA 08:37, 8 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Put in the cameo spot that he appeared in Grim Tales! (68.192.242.97 02:15, 13 December 2006 (UTC))[reply]

Please don't. Grim Tales is a fan-made web-comic that features a variety of other horror-themed pop-culture cameos and breaks a lot of copyright laws in the process, and is not at all notable nor is it even canotonical for Jack's character. 75.157.78.82 (talk) 11:48, 28 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I can't find any pics of Jack in the Simpsons you should add about the jack hentai porn thats online —Preceding unsigned comment added by 125.238.32.150 (talk) 10:38, August 27, 2007 (UTC)

??? Jack porn? How is that relevent to the article? It is useless (and disgusting) trivia that no-one, barring necrophiliacs, really wants to read about, so leave it out. 75.157.78.82 (talk) 11:48, 28 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Cameo[edit]

How exactly does Jack make a cameo in "Beetlejuice" which was release five years before his debut?PatrickWB (talk) 17:47, 12 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

His face appears on Beetlejuice's hat when he turns into the carnival attraction-monster near the end of the film. Not a significant cameo in my opinion, if it could be called a cameo, but let's leave it there for now. 75.157.78.82 (talk) 11:48, 28 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I disagree, I have looked at the video and it just looks like a skeleton head (skull). I see no way to identify that positively as Jack Skellington. In fact, Jack's head is near perfectly round and the one in Beetlejuice seemed more oval-shaped.--98.196.54.246 (talk) 01:23, 5 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Zerodog.JPG[edit]

Deletion of External Links[edit]

Two links were deleted - one to a blog and another to a page with a Jack Skellington pumpkin carving. Per Wikipedia's "Links to Avoid" list, the first link was a blog - an external link generally discouraged by Wikipedia for inclusion. The second link contributed nothing to the subject of Jack Skellington. Further investigation of the external link found that the host site was a for-profit product page that sold software enabling customers to carve pumpkin images. kidnap the Sandy Claws[edit]

The one thing Jack did in the film that he should have known was not "kindhearted" was having Santa kiddnapped. Granted, he didn't mean for Santa to be tortured, and he did put himself in harm's way to save him later, but still, do you think his willingness to do something wrong to get what he wants should be mentioned under the "personality" section? Web wonder (talk) 23:33, 25 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Considering his intent, I don't think that the kidnapping disqualifies the kindhearted part of the description. He greets Santa Claus with open arms and makes specific note to make sure that Santa was comfortable as he was detained (though the kids completely ignored that). By all indications, Skellington thought Santa would appreciate the break and he treated the entire affair like it was a surprise party. The actions could hardly be described as malevolent. Even calling them selfish would be rather iffy, as his interaction with Santa indicated an "everybody wins" mindset. I'd say that at best he could be described as misguided or overeager, both of which are already fairly well represented in the article as a whole 141.166.234.196 (talk) 03:42, 1 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I wouldn't describe it as "malevolent" either, but it wasn't very nice. I don't think anyone wants to be stuffed in a bag and taken somewhere against their will (there's no evidence that Jack ordered Lock, Shock, and Barrel to use the bag, but he obviously didn't mind that they were doing it). If he had been motivated solely by a desire to give Santa a break and not a determination to replace him weather he wanted it or not, he could have just come to Santa and offered to deliver presents for him. Web wonder (talk) 20:44, 6 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Leave out the "willing to do someting wrong to achieve his goals." What Jack did may have been wrong, but he is the leader of a holiday that revolves around fright and malice. If you look at what he was doing in the movie, he had been trying to get the other monsters to understand the feeling he'd gotten in Christmas Town and then said, "To heck with it," and did the whole "Making Christmas" thing. If you even look at the lyrics to the song "What's This?", he was genuinely confused by the lack of mayham and bloodshed in Christmas Town. The use of the bag by Shock, Lock, and Barrel can be overlooked due to their sadism (they tried to feed Santa to Oogie Boogie) and the fact they were considering shooting him with a cannon. I agree with the overzealous and misguided part, so keep those in the article. 75.157.78.82 (talk) 11:41, 28 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
