Comment - per WP:PRIMARYTOPIC we should consider both "usage" and "long-term significance". As to "long-term significance" you might think that a winner of The Open Championship would outweigh a footballer who's played some games for Bournemouth and Rangers. Admittedly he's one of the least-known Open winners but even so, he's likely to have more long-term significance than the footballer. Nigej (talk) 19:54, 6 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

There are 14 entries upon the Jackie Simpson / Jack Simpson (disambiguation) page and the seven-sentence stub for the 19th-century golfer can hardly be considered capable of overtaking the combined notability of the remaining 13 entries. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 02:24, 10 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
