"Knuts"?[edit]

"and was described by The Times as "the last of the knuts." - what on earth does this mean? Not referenced, either. 86.136.249.74 (talk) 22:53, 26 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Photo[edit]

It seems that someone has uploaded a photo of Jack Buchanan (the rugby player) OVER the photo of Jack Buchanan the actor. Therefore its automatically showing the photo of the rugby player - I've removed it temporarily but am unable to upload photos at the moment, havign created this account just to fix the Jack Buchanan page. is someone with more knowledge able to amend this problem or perhaps reupload the image from the Jack Buchanana File History as, say, "Jack Buchanan actor" ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Westinghouse77 (talkcontribs) 13:42, 26 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

"Like David Niven, Buchanan was renowned for his portrayal of the quintessential English gentleman on stage and screen, despite being a Scot."[edit]

There was a good reason that David Niven portrayed himself as the quintessential English gentleman - he was English (and not Scottish).

From Wikipedia - James David Graham Niven was born in Belgrave Mansions, London, to William Edward Graham Niven (1878–1915) and his wife, Henrietta Julia (née Degacher) Niven.[3] He was named David for his birth on St. David's Day (1 March). Niven often claimed that he was born in Kirriemuir, in the Scottish county of Angus in 1909, but his birth certificate shows this was not the case.[4] Allan1959 (talk) 13:20, 27 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

So the article claims that David Niven was Scottish when he was not. Needs to be changed.Allan1959 (talk) 13:20, 27 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
