Build date?[edit]

Is this 1871 or 1893? Was the 1871 locomotive built by Vulcan in England, and the first locally built one in 1893? What is the scope of this article? Andy Dingley (talk) 10:47, 25 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

What are these locos, and the preserved museum loco, at Commons? Andy Dingley (talk) 10:50, 25 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Confusion with JGR Class 160[edit]

These articles seem to have been created as near duplicates. Something is amiss.

I suspect (I am lacking sources for early Japanese steam locos) that the 150 was British built, by Vulcan, in 1871 and the 160 was Japanese built in 1893? Andy Dingley (talk) 11:00, 25 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Both types were built in the UK, and most of the information initially included in the articles was unfortunately wildly inaccurate. --DAJF (talk) 05:44, 26 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
