Oppose. The authoritative American Film Institute Catalog lists him as J. K. Simmons. For similarly-styled main title headers, see List of literary initials. In the wild, spacing is inconsistent. Oppose, but not overwhelmingly. If he hasn't ever expressed a preference (and he may well have), I doubt most of the above sources put significant thought into how to spell out his initials.
