Deletion candidate?[edit]

Was trying to geocode this mystery town, but as the article suggests not much is known about Ivanhoe. The link is also dead. Is there any valid reason for this article to exist? Doesn't seem to be notable as far as I can tell.

Found a few more references to Ivanhoe. It apparently had a post office for 4 years, but the town was never platted. It was located on the line between sections 29 and 30 in Franklin Township in Linn Co, IA. An 1875 map does not show the town at all. see Historical map of Linn County . Franklin township is in the SW corner of the county. Still of questional notability in my mind, unless all ghost towns are notable.

(Yes, I know I'm talking to myself here, but since this comment is still here, a reply seemed to be in order.)
I believe this town does meet the requirements of Wikipedia:GEOLAND, as it had its own post office, even if it wasn't actually incorporated. More information would be nice, of course, but that is likely to be in older sources. Ghost towns should be judged as modern towns are, since notability is not temporary. – Philosopher Let us reason together. 03:16, 7 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
