Spelling[edit]

Why is the title spelled with two "s"s while the altarpiece has only one? Badagnani 01:26, 17 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Issenheim is the French name of the commune, Isenheim is the German one. The spelling of Isenheim Altarpiece with just one "s" is correct because it is very old. --217.232.139.55 03:08, 2 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
