Elevation[edit]

I could not find a source for an elevation except the GNIS feature page which lists an elevation of 755 feet. It would seem that the Sierra Club referenced this source as it lists the same elevation. Elevations given on the GNIS feature page are not considered to be very accurate in defining the height of mountains. GNIS uses the NED which in this area has a resolution of 1 arc-second (about 30 meters). The topographic map shows no elevation but it can be interpolated using 20 foot contour intervals as being greater than 580 and less than 600 feet. It is reasonable to list the elevation as 580+ ft and this should be considered as sourced information in compliance with Wiki guild lines. --droll [chat] 03:07, 7 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
