James Irvine Sr. and James Irvine, Jr.[edit]

If James Irvine emmigrated to the US from Ireland in the 1840ties, how could he be born in the 1860ties? Whoever wrote this article is erroneously merging James Irvine Sr. and James Irvine, Jr.into one person. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.54.97.150 (talk) 22:19, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I will fix it. This page is about James Irvine II (Jr and Sr are bad because James II had a son James III (Jase), (1894-1935) so James II was known as Sr and Jr at different times, the article titles should be changed.John Z (talk) 02:19, 31 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Revised to separate out James I, II and III. They and the Irvine ranch are so inter related, that they probably should in the same article like this (and not have separate pages).Emargie (talk) 21:01, 27 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
