Irene Byers is another "lost author" whose work I recently stumbled across. I was amazed to find out how prolific she was, but so far can discover literally nothing about her life. She isn't even listed in the Oxford Companion to Children's Literature though all her books are in the British Library. I'll continue to do research on her and add what I can, but I have created this basic page in the hope that others might find it and contribute their own knowledge. I found an obituary from 1992 that might be for her. The obituary is for an Irene Byers who married a Cyril and was born about 1907. Her family also request donations to a children's charity in her name. It doesn't mention her being a writer, though - https://www.newspapers.com/article/the-daily-telegraph-obituary-for-irene-b/137170253/. Skycloud86 (talk) 12:57, 21 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
