I happened to come across this article via WP:TDD and the Monthly DAB Challenge, and I saw there's a note that the dab links in the infobox are intentional. Would someone be willing to explain why this is the case? It's a little unusual since MOS:LINK advises against linking to disambiguation pages. By this edit Worldwar1989 added "August 7" to the date of the restablishment of the Armed Forces after the invasion. But August 7 is not mentioned in the article or cited. Personnel figures[edit]

A couple of times recently a figure of over 500,000 has been added citing an Al Jazeera news article. That news article cites the 2020 edition of the IISS Military Balance when other editors have already added more recent estimates from the 2021 edition. We should keep Military balance as it is the most reliable sources. It is also widely used as sources by main news channels as [[2]] and many others so not need to change this at it is the most reliable sources for military. Shadow4dark (talk) 20:35, 28 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Some of the most recent edits appear to be inspired by webpages about *Iran,* such as the https://www.iranicaonline.org/articles/army-vi ; referencing the Pahlavi period.
