"Dome is now the equivalent of a human corpse."[edit]

Our article currently states:

Having "died" to save so many, Dome is now the equivalent of a human corpse. While it can still function in its traditional shape of an invisible plane, it can no longer alter its shape and is now a lifeless inanimate object that is neither intelligent nor self-aware.

Wow, I'd sure rather have Dome than a human corpse lying around! Seriously, a human corpse can not "function" at all. It can only rot and fall apart. Okay, human corpses are useful to insects, but that's hardly comparable to an invisible plane.

I suggest somebody who is familiar with Wonder Woman and Dome re-phrase this. I am sure the original author had a point, but s/he hasn't nailed it with this "equivalent of a human corpse".

Honestly, I think the whole sentence might need to be taken out as original research, but I rephrased it to "...to save so many, Dome is now more like a robot than a person." I'm familiar with Wonder Woman but not Dome, sorry - just basing this on the sentence that follows. Birdsinthewindow (talk) 20:05, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Um, what?[edit]

"It was created by William Moulton Marston as an allegory for how women of the Depression Era onward had come into the male dominated work place in droves, unchallenged and how those women's readier compliance, among other factors, made that possible."

Can someone check the source to see if it actually says this? Seems implausible, but I can't verify it myself. Birdsinthewindow (talk) 20:01, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I looked into it earlier, and fount that it was originally put in by driveby IP vandal in May 2014. I removed it on 19 April 2017. No source supports the claim. Someone must have re-added it since, I removed it again. Herostratus (talk) 13:36, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
