Overlinking[edit]
Does anyone else think there are too many links here? The point of links is to make the article understandable, I'm sure somebody reading an article about the investment theory of party competition will already know what an election is, for instance. - This comment had to do with an older version of this wikipage; the links have been severely cut down in the new version of the page, which required a large revamping of the material. Empirical support[edit]
I don't want to add this, as it seems like OR on my part, to connect it to this article .. but .. it would seem that this theory gets empirical support from Testing Theories of American Politics: Elites, Interest Groups, and Average Citizens (2014) Martin Gilens and Benjamin I.
