Found conflicting reports of the height of the chimney. Most resources seem to state 213m but Skyscraperpage.com has 236m, as does this Inverclyde Governmental site. Any definitive info available? Chillysnow 20:50, 13 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Demolition[edit]

There has been continuing work, with a second explosion on 28 November 2012 and further explosions in 2013. As of today, both of the main buildings/halls have been demolished, leaving a narrow grey concrete structure in line with the chimney. Will aim to get a photo of that fairly soon. Have yet to hear of a date for demolition of the chimney itself. . dave souza, talk 20:34, 30 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Have just realised that I took a photo of it in that state on 20 March so have added it, will leave it to others to update the text accordingly. . dave souza, talk 21:33, 30 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The narrow grey structure will be the Main Control room, the switchgear rooms and associated rooms. It was located between Unit 2 and Unit 3 boilers. --Stewart (talk | edits) 14:39, 1 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
