  • Striking my !vote. The more I think about this, the more this seems to belong in Monetary system and there is some overlap with the history of commodity money etc (some of which predates the notion of the nation-state hence "international" being inappropriate). But, it looks to me like Monetary system is deliberately short with call-outs to other articles, so merging a "History" section may make it too top-heavy.
Pace Snooganssnoogans, there are many international monetary systems past and present. But titles should usually be WP:SINGULAR, I agree. 85.67.32.244 (talk) 10:05, 30 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
