List of international courts[edit]

I've added a rough list of international courts, mostly just copied from Category:International courts so I'm probably missing a few. I've included the International Military Tribunal but not the Subsequent Nuremberg Trials as these were conducted by a single government. I've also left out the Court of Arbitration for Sport, which is really just a private dispute-settlement panel. Polemarchus (talk) 22:32, 25 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sub-Regional Courts[edit]

I've added a number of sub-regional courts, all of which are listed on the Project on International Courts and Tribunals website cited at the bottom of the page. PICT is apparently a collaboration between University College London and other academic institutions. For some reason, many of these listings were removed when I tried to put these courts here some time ago, for reasons that I don't understand. I would appreciate an explanation of what the problem is, if someone intends to revert the page yet again. 128.59.182.86 (talk) 23:12, 5 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of certain entries from list[edit]

The following entries should be removed from the list because they do not qualify as "international courts":

European Commission of Human Rights – not a judicial body
Human Rights Chamber for Bosnia and Herzegovina – a national court with foreign judges
Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia – a national court with foreign judges

Thank you for the clarification, I stand corrected. However, the article does mention the existence of "hybrid tribunals" in the intro section. Should a section be created to list these hybrid tribunals (national courts with foreign judges), such as the Human Rights Chamber for Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Khmer Rouge Trial? International court name confusion[edit]

Hello dears,

I think categories of courts under international court is not really international as the scope or even subject matter is for certain treaties or specific world areas.

International court name is suitable for a court that is specialized for all the world areas and all disputes.

below are really international courts as scope is global and subject matter is general,worldwide then they are truly international

(International Court of Justice International Criminal Court Permanent Court of International Justice Appellate Body Global 1995–present International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea)

Other courts in the list, I think is not international
