If you hear this, either get on a train asap or stay on the train! Being evacuated from a station is no fun if you are in a hurry and trains will be moved out... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.175.180.118 (talk) 20:46, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

In spite of what the article says, I have heard an "Inspector Sands" announcement caused by someone leaving unattended luggage. the station staff (East Croydon) also evacuated two platforms. It was later explained (over the station tannoy) that the disruption was because of unattended luggage. --Rafwuk (talk) 02:16, 14 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Continous loop?[edit]

Does Inspector Sands playing on a continuous loop on 7/7 make any sense? The idea is to get a person to go to a particular place without arosing suspicion, not only has suspicion surely been aroused on such a date, but you're not always wanting people to go to an emergency place, just once and they're hopefully there? 92.20.126.224 (talk) 10:43, 13 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It probably doesn't make sense, but it quite likely happened - there would have been automatic warnings triggered all over. see this youtube vid for a later incindent. regards, Lynbarn (talk) 15:54, 11 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
