Who made the statue?[edit]

Does this work of art have a creator? Or is this the creation of unnamed minions, toiling in the basement of Harrods? David notMD (talk) 12:31, 22 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

In the lead para, based on The Guardian, "The statue was designed by Harrods artistic design adviser Bill Mitchell, who had worked for the Fayed family for more than 40 years." The sculptor (born 1925) has a website. We do not yet have an article on him, if you would like to start one. Edwardx (talk) 10:10, 23 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Its William Mitchell (sculptor). Philafrenzy (talk) 22:37, 23 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

How many arms is that?[edit]

The article says: "Dodi's right arm is raised and appears to be releasing a large bird, said to be an albatross symbolising "freedom and eternity". Diana's left arm is also raised, gripping Dodi's hand. Their other arms are below their waists, the fingers just touching." How many arms does Diana's statue have? Peter Bell (talk) 06:50, 3 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Each person has two arms. Philafrenzy (talk) 07:51, 3 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, that is the usual number. Edwardx (talk) 10:24, 3 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
