Just a definition[edit]
This is just a definition of something that's fairly commonly understood, rather than something that's completely new. I thought it was important to post and will be adding links and references soon. 21:09, 13 February 2007 (UTC)hk
I think this is a great topic to develop here in Wikipedia. I do not think that it is commonly understood. One of my favorite quotes on the topic comes from Mark Granovetter when he says that people who believe that organizations are in fact structured by the formal org chart are "sociological babes in the woods."
