The correct title to this page[edit]

should be induced homomorphism (fundamental group), because there are many other induced homomorphisms in algebraic topology. Oded (talk) 06:47, 13 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tag?[edit]

I might remove the tag once the article is polished up a little (that the tone of the article is not appropriate). Does anyone have any objections?

---

Dealing with the tags: Wikified - not too much to do. Tried to improve the tone, by changing out words such as 'we' and 'suppose'. With math I think it's immpossible to remove the 'talking to' tone completely. Going to add a tag requesting that the subject be explained in a way that newbies can at least begin to understand. I realize it's a difficult thing to explain, but a little history and the basic uses for the subject as it relates to the everyday world would bring some clarity for those not familiar with the basic concepts. I looked at all the linked pages, searching out that type of clarity, but they are written in the same style. Other than that I think the page looks good, so I'm removing the wikify and tone tag, and adding wikiproject math banner and new tone tag. Nihola (talk) 16:37, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Merge[edit]

I think this would fit in well as a section on Induced homomorphism (algebraic topology). Any objections to merging? Siddharthist (talk) 23:40, 7 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I made a merge and overhaul.Tokenzero (talk) 18:33, 15 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
