This discusses only the end of the ceremony; and some controversies about it.

This says nothing about what the ceremony was, what rites were performed, and what its significance was.

And what is this use of "subaltern" supposed to convey? I would guess "minor"; but readers should not have to guess. JCScaliger 21:55, 24 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
