Dutch grammar[edit]

  • Hindoestanen (plural, both male and female)
  • Hindoestaan (male person, singular)
  • Hindoestaanse (female person, singular plus adjective)

Mr. Andries, Hndoestanen is not an English word, it is not even corect Ducth (dat is namelijk Hindoestanis, ofwel menschen uit Hindoestan, India). The correct English word is Hindustanis. I can't believe that Wikipedia is promoting illiteracy by permitting non-existing words.Usecorrectnames (talk) 09:49, 13 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The word Indo in Dutch usually refers to Indonesia, so title "Indo-Surinamese" will be very confusing to Dutch people. Andries (talk) 20:25, 8 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
