This page needs at least a passing mention of Lord Acton and their correspondence during the Vatican Council. Hackloon 00:56, 12 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This article is biased in the fact it takes sides in an inter-sectarian divide between Roman and Old Catholics. There needs to be a formal re-write not based in either view but rather an objective one that can treat this issue as it is, a religious contention. Articles on Islam have a good model and grasp on this concept to emulate.Stew312856 (talk) 02:32, 24 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Liberal views[edit]

The term "politico-liberal principles" is not correct usage. "Politico" is used to combine "politics" with another discipline, e.g., "politico-economic", "politico-philosophic", "politico-theological", etc. Perhaps what should be used instead is "politically liberal principles" or "liberal political principles".
