POV[edit]

This page is not written from a neutral point of view but rather presents the information from a perspective of credulity with regard to miracle claims. The article needs to be rewritten to indicate that such claims are not verifiable, and to only present as fact claims that can be verified as fact. 120.17.63.62 (talk) 09:26, 22 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not seeing the basis for the assertion that miracle claims are presented from a perspective of credulity. In each instance, the miracles are referred to as "claimed," "reports," and "attributed". To the extent they were involved in the process of beatification and canonization, they are described as confirmed or ratified. According to the cited references, reported miracles referenced in the course of beatification and canonization are detailed in the Positio super virtutibus (1868) submitted in support of the cause of his canonization, which in the case of Ignatius lists 121 pages of miracles performed during his lifetime and 86 attributed to him after his death. Only three of those miracles would have been required to be confirmed for the purpose of canonization. 71.10.201.143 (talk) 06:20, 12 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
