Novel, not film[edit]

The film infobox needs to be replaced with a book infobox. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 64.126.155.225 (talk) 19:37, 10 December 2006 (UTC).[reply]

Lists of allusions[edit]

I don't see the purpose of listing all those literary allusions unless said list can be worked into a broader explication of the novel (In an analysis of the movie "O Brother Where Art Thou", for example, it would be natural to list allusions to "The Odyssey") At this stage, I think it would suffice to say something like "I Capture the Castle" is richly allusive, sprinkled with references to Greek mythology, English literature and the Bible" or "Despite her youth, Cassandra demonstrates a higly evolved literary sensibility, making numerous sophisticated references to....." - then give an example or two. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.7.232.188 (talk) 18:25, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Plot summary[edit]

Seems to have missed the point a bit. Important bits missing and such.. and perhaps the ending is not quite as optimistic as portrayed. Her love for Simon is not treated, by her at least, as the disappointment of a first love... the book finishes on "I love you, I love you, I love you" —Preceding unsigned comment added by Raindropsx (talkcontribs) 19:21, 14 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fix the first paragraph![edit]

The overview paragraph needs work. I read it through I couple of times, but I still can't figure out what the hell it's trying to say. 216.174.213.195 (talk) 20:49, 16 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Addition of ISBN from Wikidata[edit]

Please note that this article's infobox is retrieving an ISBN from Wikidata currently. This is the result of a change made to {{Infobox book}} as a result of this RfC. It would be appreciated if an editor took some time to review this ISBN to ensure it is appropriate for the infobox. If it is not, you could consider either correcting the ISBN on Wikidata (preferred) or introducing a blank ISBN parameter in the infobox to block the retrieval from Wikidata. If you do review the ISBN, please respond here so other editors don't duplicate your work. This is an automated message to address concerns that this change did not show up on watchlists. ~ RobTalk 01:23, 15 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion 2012 stage production[edit]

The musical show was premiered in 2017, as a new production. The 2012 "workshop" was a presentation to industry professionals by the lyricist in a theatre conference room.[1] Thinking about deleting this bit.--217.155.32.221 (talk) 14:02, 12 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Done.--217.155.32.221 (talk) 10:03, 14 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
It seems that this material was added by the show's lyric writer (thanks for the transparency there) but she has now added tour dates and venues for her show. I've removed these as well. This article is about the original book and it shouldn't be used for promotional purposes of any derivative stuff. --217.155.32.221 (talk) 08:39, 2 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
