Purpose[edit]

Page Astronomical constant is out of date. I intend to make that a master page for the various implementations of the IAU system of constants over the past century. This IAU1976 page is one of the detailed sub-pages. Tom Peters (talk) 16:45, 22 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, all of these astronomical constant pages need work. See comments at Talk:Astronomical_system_of_units#Third_party_references and Talk:Astronomical_system_of_units#disputed. It would be ok to have sub-pages like this for each established IAU system (there are only a handful of them), but they should be about that system ONLY. No random updating of individual constants, or else the page is no longer about that particular system, and becomes a general astro info page. Tfr000 (talk) 14:06, 3 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
