Lake History[edit]

Since the lake was built for Hyderabad city, much before Andhra Pradesh and India as we know them today were created, those references are removed. Chirags 19:17, 19 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Accident during installation of Buddha statue[edit]

There is no mention of the capsizing incident while installing Buddha statue. If i am not wrong, the Buddha statue sank into the lake bed while installation and several workers lost their lives. It remained at the bottom of the lake for many months, later another operation was conceived to retrieve the statue from the lake bed, raise and install it at the chosen location.
