History[edit]

I am surprised to read the newspaper Wah Kiu Yat Po from year 1966, that claims Hung Shui Kiu is an important town. It also claims there were 20,000 people lived in the area that surrounding the town. Compare to Sai Kung Town, nowadays still have 10,000 population only, this wiki article should improve the history of the town before it was announced to be the next high-rise new town development in the 2010s.
