Famous Beatles hit "A Day in the Life" makes a reference to this film. The lyrics:

"I saw a film today, oh boy. The English army had just won the war. The crowd of people turned away. But I just had to look, having read the book".

DVD Release[edit]

Considering, the DVD release is imminant (I cba with spellin' today), shouldn't there be a section, on about the DVD release - why, has it tooken, so long to get onto DVD etc. Yeepsi (Talk to me!) 16:48, 20 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"Ghost" soldiers[edit]

I recall the reason why some dead soldiers appear in bright colours is that their colour corresponds to the tint applied to the film of the battle in which they died (a tint was erroneously removed during a late stage of production).
