Fair use rationale for Image:Houaer74.gif[edit]

Image:Houaer74.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 03:57, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

– With the demise of the minor league franchise, the WHA franchise is again the primary topic Relisted. BDD (talk) 20:36, 9 August 2013 (UTC) pbp 22:07, 31 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment Not really that simple. The WHA team only lasted 6 years vs the 19 year existence of the minor league team. Because remember primary topic isn't just about the current situation, but about all time. One would think the minor league team generated more news stories etc in its 19 years than the WHA team did. However, I can certainly see the opposite as well that the WHA team might have a more enduring legacy. So basically I am on the fence. -DJSasso (talk) 18:38, 2 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment I am on the fence as well. What I am leaning towards myself is Houston Aeros (WHA) and Houston Aeros (AHL) as the article pages and Houston Aeros as a disambiguation page. There is obviously some confusion as things stand right now: Brit Selby, 1972–73 WHA season, and 1977–78 WHA season all feature links to Houston Aeros. I currently can't agree with either being considered obviously the primary topic. Rejectwater (talk) 18:41, 4 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Leaving Houston Aeros as a disambig page seems reasonable. User:Purplebackpack89, would you be opposed if I moved Houston Aeros to Houston Aeros (1994–2013) and created that dab page? Resolute 15:09, 19 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I guess not pbp 15:25, 19 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, done! Resolute 19:23, 19 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Franchise History = WHA/NHL Merger History[edit]

This article contains little information unique to the Aeros. Donutcity (talk) 17:04, 21 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
