Merger proposal[edit]

I propose that the content from Ickworth be merged into this article. Though Ickworth is a separate parish, it is of negligible interest and the infobox points to Horringer anyway.--30gl (talk) 16:19, 30 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose merger[edit]

I would oppose such a merger as historically Horringer and Ickworth are two separate parishes. In both instances the simple fact is that no-one has bothered to put together a reasonable article even though a wealth of information is available for both. Do you therefore suggest that I attempt to bulk out the Ickworth article instead of merging it? I'd need help on that seeing as I haven't lived in the area for a while, but perhaps that would be the best idea.--30gl (talk) 19:45, 30 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The cornerstone of any Ickworth article will be will be Ickworth House and St Mary's Church, Ickworth but also refer to the Horringer-cum-Ickworth Parish Plan. There should also be material at the Bury St Edmunds Records Office. League Octopus (League Octopus 18:28, 3 October 2012 (UTC))[reply]
