another type of horizon is husserl's horizon: the background against which that which is in the focus or center of consciousness is contextually understood. Narcissus 21:26, 20 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Google only turns up 18 hits for "husserl's horizon". Whilst Googlability is not an infallible be-all-and-end-all of notability testing, this doesn't bode too well. Fourohfour 12:54, 21 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I believe there was a 20th century British magazine named Horizon. Drutt 13:04, 12 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If the magazine is demonstrably notable, and you can find enough information about it to write an article, please do. Thanks! Fourohfour 11:01, 16 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why no mention of that Horizon? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.79.61.173 (talk) 22:47, 13 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Horizon by Meta Platforms[edit]

It's a social platform being built of which several components already exist or have been announced. Quote from Mark Zuckerberg's talk at 10:51:

Horizon is the social platform that we are building for people to create and interact in the metaverse. One part of this is Horizon Home, which is our early vision for a homespace in the Metaverse [...] Then there is Horizon Worlds which is where you can build worlds and jump into them with people. [...] And we also just launched Horizon Workrooms earlier this year for collaboration.

He later talked about Horizon Marketplace (15:38 in the same talk) and there is also Horizon Venues. It seems that out of all these components, Wikipedia only has an article for Horizon Worlds, and not for the other components, or for Horizon itself as an overarching social platform. So I was not sure how to represent this on the disambiguation page. Kidburla (talk) 12:59, 16 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
