March 2008[edit]

Regarding the last edit by 82.36.96.9, while it is correct that the picture is of a VFR750P, the page is called VFR750F, so (whilst we have what is actually an inappropriate picture) I settled for clarifying in the photo caption (visible when the cursor is hovered over the pic) that the photo was actually of the police model, VFR750P... Expand: VF750F[edit]

This article needs significant expansion of the ill-starred 1984 VF750F. For example:

It looks like the first non-vandalism edit was [23], establishing UK spelling per WP:RETAIN. I've tried to make it consistent now, though it needs a rewrite. --Dennis Bratland (talk) 22:07, 15 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Centre stand claim re. RC36-2[edit]

Bennett's says with respect to the 1994–1997 — VFR750FR/S/T/V (RC36-2) that is was the first VFR750 model with a centre stand.

That's not correct. According to Churchill, Jeremy; Coombs, Mark (1998). Honda VFR750 & 700 V-Fours '86 to '97 Service and Repair Manual. Vol. 2101. Sparkford, Somerset, BA22 7JJ, UK: Haynes. p. 6.4. ISBN 1 85960 365 3.{{cite book}}: CS1 maint: location (link)

'The centerstand is attached to the frame as follows:

  • On J and K models ...
  • On R models onward ...
  • On all other models, refer to step B above ...'

As far as I can tell, all the road-going VFR750s have centre stands. The J model came out in 1988. I've got a VFR750FG (1986 model year) in my garage and it's certainly sat on a centre stand provided as original equipment by Honda.

Formatting/Language Style[edit]

Hi guys! Just noticed that some of the language used throughout this article is a little informal. In addition, some of the sentences are incomplete or don't make proper sense. I have gone through and tweaked a few!
