The result of the move request was: moved to Home (2014 animated film). -- BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 22:42, 23 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Home (2014 film)Home (2014 comedy film) – Disambiguate against Home (2014 horror film) per WP:NCF. The primary topic of home is already evident and we do not have a tiered naming convention. BOVINEBOY2008 01:55, 15 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose This film is clearly the primary topic over a independent horror film that doesn't even have a major distributor yet. Koala15 (talk) 04:18, 15 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support WP:NCF; ambiguous disambiguation should not be used. It is clearly not the primary topic as it isn't located at Home, it's been disambiguated. -- 70.50.151.11 (talk) 07:55, 15 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment But it is the primary topic of film's named Home that are being released this year. Koala15 (talk) 14:55, 15 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support; the point of disambiguation is to have articles titles that are clearly unambiguous. Tassedethe (talk) 21:48, 15 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nomination and WP:NCF. Fortdj33 (talk) 22:25, 15 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • May I suggest that Home (2014 animated film) may make it more discernable to the Wikipedia user than labeling it a comedy? Not that it makes a difference in separating it from the horror movie, but I suspect that if you were to ask people to describe the film, they'd be more likely to refer to it being animated or a cartoon than to being a comedy. --Nat Gertler (talk) 22:45, 15 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected edit request on 26 March 2015[edit]

Rihanna did not make a concept album for the film, she was the executive producer of its soundtrack, which consists of 8 songs by various artists, including Rihanna. 82.14.201.156 (talk) 17:13, 26 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The plot sections has too many details and the various tabs under the film information page are unnecessary. Could those issues be dealt with? 108.9.69.57 (talk) 01:31, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format. Amortias (T)(C) 11:23, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Genre[edit]

Is this really an animated buddy comedy film? It's more of an animated science fiction comedy film. Yes the buddy element is there but to be honest it's present in most mainstream cartoons. Are we to take it that Lion King, Toy Story, Shrek etc are all buddy films? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.71.162.62 (talk) 13:00, 31 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This page needs to be edited as soon as possible. The current plot section has too many unnecessary details. 108.9.69.57 (talk) 21:08, 1 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sequel[edit]

Rather than continuing to edit war, folks should chat here about the inclusion of the preliminary information about a sequel. A few notes on the editing notes:

  • Yes it is common for a sequel to be discussed before the film is released; it is rarely given the actual go-ahead before release.
  • Home was neither a flop nor a smash, and a sequel is certainly not unthinkable; CGI films which did similar box office have had sequels (Happy Feet Two; Hotel Transylvania 2, Planes: Fire & Rescue).
  • While WP:CRYSTAL would prevent us from giving an article on a Home 2 at this point, it's not ruling out us including a proper source indicating that some consideration has been given to a sequel any more than it would rule out us including an insider saying that a sequel has been ruled out.

And to be clear on what might be a perceived COI: about two decades ago, I collaborated with Smekday creator Adam Rex on 2 minor projects, unrelated to to Smek/Home. --Nat Gertler (talk) 23:03, 24 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Image use policy[edit]

The picture of Obama visiting the studio does not comply with our WP:Image use policy#Adding images to articles, to wit:

The purpose of an image is to increase readers' understanding of the article's subject matter, usually by directly depicting people, things, activities, and concepts described in the article. The relevant aspect of the image should be clear and central.

Obama is not mentioned in the text, therefore he presumably didn't contribute in any way to the movie, and this was just a PR photo op for him. The picture has no encyclopedic value here, and rather belongs in Public image of Barack Obama. JustinTime55 (talk) 21:15, 11 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
