UK figure query[edit]

I was just wondering if we should leave the 'UK viewers' box as it is for episode nine: "I Am What I Am Not" (3.42 (overnight)). It hasn't made the top 30 for BARB regarding its final figure. 86.136.106.80 (talk) 19:09, 15 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

That tends to have been precedent on previous articles, if the showing hasn't made it into the BARB top 30, so yeah, I'd say leave it as "3.42 (overnight)". Skarloey (talk) 22:09, 15 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
An overnight figure is better than no figure at all. - JuneGloom07 Talk 01:22, 16 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Debbie Chazen's Departure[edit]

It was announced that Chazen had signed up to Holby City for three months', and this stint was to last from September through to December. She has now departed from the programme, but I can't find a source. 86.136.106.80 (talk) 21:21, 30 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Well, the fact she was staying for three months is already sourced, so a cite episode for her last episode would work. I was planning on adding one for Amy, as there wasn't another source for her last ep either. - JuneGloom07 Talk 02:32, 31 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Cast list[edit]

I think the current format needs an overhaul. It's not clear enough for casual readers and at times seems confusing even to those who have been editing the page. A style like the first series (and Good Article) Holby City (series 1)#Cast or perhaps Winners & Losers (season 1)#Cast? Removing the job occupations and ward names, keeping just the character and actor names would also be an improvement. There is already a cast list detailing their roles within the show, as well as individual character articles. Cast changes are/would be mentioned and sourced in the production section, so there would be no needed for all the notes either. The list would look something like this:

I've been having a play around in my sandbox for a while, trying to come up with a better solution to the cast list sections. How about a simplified table format, something like this? User:Skarloey/sandbox#Series_17_cast_list - that way, we keep basic roles as a minimal amount of context, while removing wards and arrivals/departures, which can be incorporated into text elsewhere in the article. Writer(s)[edit]

It's nothing big, and I don't think it matters at all, but I just thought I'd let you guys know while I'm here.

When a script is composed by more than one writer, you tend to see this in the credits: "JOHANNE McANDREW & ELLIOT HOPE", we use the ampersand to disclose to the viewers that the writers' collaborated together to work on the script.

Occasionally, you'll see this: "KATE VERGHESE and SALLY TATCHELL", we use the 'and' to disclose to viewers that although both writers' wrote the episode, they worked on the script at different times.

What I'm saying is, Johanne McAndrew and Elliot Hope always work in collaboration to compose scripts, as we always see an ampersand between their names in the credits, this differs from Kate Verghese and Sally Tatchell's episode ("All Coming Back to Me Now"), where despite them working on the same script, they worked on the episode at different times, that's why we occasionally see the 'and' in the credits.

Basically: & = worked in collaboration, 'and' = worked on the same script at different times. 86.190.91.49 (talk) 14:46, 5 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You might find MOS:AMP an interesting read. - JuneGloom07 Talk 00:34, 6 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, that makes sense now. Thank you for introducing me to the article (MOS:AMP), JuneGloom07. 86.190.91.49 (talk) 08:00, 6 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
