First Game[edit]

Was the Broncos' first game the opening game of the 1988 season? I have a feeling it is. I wanna verify it before mentioning it.--Jeff79 23:50, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No as this game was playedon the Sunday at Lang Park. Also the decision to enter the expansion teams for the 1988 season was made in 1987 with the BRL initially voting not to support an entry into the NSWRL though this revised later in a subsequent vote. Stephen.

Some fool wrote in this article that the Broncos are the only side with a perfect record in Grand Finals; this is, of course, wrong, being that the Newcastle Knights have won both Grand Finals in which they have played (1997 and 2001). This has now been fixed. It is debateable, also, whether or not the Wests Tigers also have a perfect record; do we count them as one win from one GF, or do we include the numerous GFs Balmain/Magpies lost before they entered a joint venture? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.236.117.168 (talk) 13:24, 29 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
