Date Confusion?[edit]

The article's first section says, "The opening of the River Park Square Mall in 1999 sparked a downtown rebirth that included the building of the Spokane Arena and expansion of the Spokane Convention Center." Does anybody have an idea of how opening the River Park Square Mall in 1999 could possibly have "sparked" the building of the Spokane Arena which was completed in 1995? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 147.222.200.201 (talk) 20:19, 26 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Expand and reoraganize as needed[edit]

I would recommend expanding and reorganizing the material in this article, using the new material from the main Spokane articles' history section.

On second thought, ill just do it. Anon134 (talk) 04:28, 12 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Someone has added additional references to content that i wrote long ago. However, i believe that the name is wrong. I cannot locate an author named Statton, and i expect that it should be David H. Stratton. Does someone have the 2005 reference to verify? thanks, Richard Myers (talk) 13:46, 24 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Good eyes, Richard. I added that... "Statton" is a typo, It is supposed to be "Stratton". The cited information can be verified by the book and I have now fixed the typo.
Im going to update this section (references changes mainly) soon when I have more time since it has been awhile since I last did it. I have made improvements to the Spokane main article in the history section that I would like to bring to this side article. Anon134 (talk) 22:06, 24 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
