Dobzhansky-Muller[edit]

I think that one of the important contributions Muller made to biology was the Dobzhansky-Muller Model of hybrid incompatibility. I'm not even sure there is a wikipedia entry on this. There is one on Bateson-Dobzhansky-Muller Model, but this doesn't sound like what I am familiar with as the Dobzhansky-Muller Model, unless it is so poorly written that this is what it is describing. Irreducible complexity[edit]

Apparently he contributed something in that direction. --197.229.124.241 (talk) 22:26, 21 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

American?[edit]

Shouldn't his nationality be American? If someone asked me what my nationality was I wouldn't say I was a United States, I would say I was an American. Just like someone who is a citizen of the country Austria is an Austrian, etc. DlronW (talk) 15:13, 26 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Muller & Pauling: their Noble lies about low dose rates[edit]

Here's Calabrese in 2016, detailing Muller's scientific misconduct. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0013935116301219

As for Muller's partner in crime, the equally medical-quakery-spouting Linus Pauling.

Here's some of his well documented scientific misconduct, detailed by Malhar N. Kumar.https://rd.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10805-008-9068-6?no-access=true

We don't present the opinion of one person to be the general view on a subject, and Pauling is also not the subject of the article. Please give only consensus opinion of the scientific community rather than the opinion of one. Hzh (talk) 09:46, 2 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Pauling & Muller were comrades & involved in similar groups that made statements on radiation and nuclear weapons, moreover they had the same politics. The fact that Muller collaborated with his compatriot the likewise Nobel prize winner-turned-medical-quack : Linus Pauling, when it came to radiation & their Fear, uncertainty and doubt compaign orchestrated in part to usher in the Partial Nuclear Test Ban Treaty, is notable. Why do I have this spell this out?
Boundarylayer (talk) 17:12, 2 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
You can spell it out if you like, but the opinion of any particular editor is irrelevant. We are not here to present the opinion of any editor in articles, nor are we interested in original research. We write according to reliable sources, only what someone else said in reliable sources matters. Hzh (talk) 17:23, 2 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hermann Joseph Muller (Geneticist)[edit]

please rename.

there are many Hermann Mullers and adding (Geneticist) is essential. (Botanist) is added after another Herman Muller, but (Geneticist) is lacking here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:8802:3000:B9:941:C148:CB9E:AF6F (talk) 04:00, 19 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

There is only one Hermann Joseph Muller, so it is not necessary to say that he is the geneticist. He is the better known Hermann Muller than the others, so he also doesn't need further disambiguation, per WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Hzh (talk) 21:17, 21 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
